Tech Time

The girls have been busy in technology!  We learned how to sign into BrainPop Jr. and search for videos.  We watched BrainPop Jr.'s Spring video and Plant Life Cycle video.  Using the information from these videos, they created a Spring collage in PicCollage and created a popple in Popplet.  The girls also continue to work on their ABC books in My Story.

CELEBRATING THE EARTH

As Spring gloriously "arrived" in Baltimore 

our celebration of the Earth began!

Through song, the Google Earth app, classroom books, maps and globe 

we learned the Continents and Oceans. 

We also focused on our care of the earth.  They shared insightful ideas with their classmates.  

Our earth will be safe in their little hands!

We used water colors to design "our world" focusing on the continents and oceans.

The "world" is now in our Poetry Song Book 

across from the song The Good Earth

Dancing, singing and celebrating Earth Day

in the Graduation Garden, where one day we will wear a long white dress, carry a daisy basket, 

walk with a friend and graduate from The Bryn Mawr School !

Kati and I are deeply touched by the "lovely garden of herbs "

that arrived in the room today delivered by Jennifer Broussard 

on behalf of our families.

  Upon our return last week it was clear our Bryn Mawr Community 

had cared, nurtured and taught our dear girls as

giggles, smiles and the sheer joy to share

what they had learned filled the room and our hearts!

Art: Clay Pinch Pots

The girls learned to build pinch pots from balls of clay - not an easy task for little hands. They made multiples to build their motor memory. Some even made one with their eyes closed!
