Daffodils, Time, and L.A.

During language arts, Mrs. McMahon's class sang and practiced tracking the words in our latest spring song from our Poetry Book. Afterwards, we highlighted several popcorn words as well as words that are difficult to decode, such as "celebrate."  Then the girls illustrated the poem with their special friend.

Mrs. Martin's class got a chance to explore their surprise sack and then went on a vowel hunt.

In science, Mrs. Martin's class began exploring daffodils and noticed the differences between the species.

In math, both classes listened to The Grouch Ladybug and broke apart to complete different activities.  Mrs. Martin's girls colored in the characters, while Mrs. McMahon's class filled in the numbers on a large clock.  Tomorrow the girls will match the characters to their correct time from the story.
