The girls have been learning to say their colors in French. We did an experiment in French where we added food coloring to water to form different colors. After starting with the three basic colors -- bleu/blue, rouge/red, and jaune/yellow, the girls predicted how to get other colors by mixing the colors they already had. Then they tested their predictions by mixing the colored water and observing what happened.
