French: Bonne Année

This month the girls have been learning about the French calendar.  They have been practicing the French words for the days of the week, the months, the seasons, and the weather.  They also learned about a holiday in France called La Fête des Rois.  They learned that it is celebrated by eating kings cake and that the person who gets the piece with the bean inside is queen for the day.  As a very special treat, one of the girls brought in a real kings cake for everyone to try.  Here is our Bryn Mawr queen of the day.
