Butterfly!

In language arts, Mrs. Martin's class read Brave Charlotte and discussed one of our core values, "respect."  The girls also used our apple riddle (that they learned yesterday) and focused on their first popcorn word, "it."

Mrs. McMahon's class started out their day by discussing the importance of characters in a book.  Together, as a class, we created an anchor chart to help enhance our learning.  Afterwards, we read Happy Pig Day and discussed the characters in the book.

We continued learning about the founders and visited our Founders Bench.

Perhaps the most exciting news of the day is that our first butterfly emerged from its chrysalis!  The girls named her Daisy and we are going to feed her for the next few days and release her on Friday.
